OUR BELIEFS

Jesus Ministries Family Worship Center holds these statements and more to be true.  They were not written to separate the body of Christ because our Lord and Savior prayed that we might all be one.  Our presence on the Internet has given us an opportunity to spread the gospel around the world, to let our light shine and to glorify God.

We believe…

There is only one true God, Who is a divine, self-existing Being, Who is God by nature and the Creator of heaven, earth, man, matter, and creature:  He is God, besides Him; there is none other.  (Gen 1:1, 20-21; Ex. 3:14; John 5:21; Gal. 4:8; Deut. 32:39; Isa 43:10; Gen 21:33; 1 Tim. 1:11; Isa. 45:22)

The deity of Jesus Christ consist of His being fully God, and at the same time, fully man.  (John1:1,14,18; John 20:28; Phil. 2:6; Col. 2:9; Tit.  2:13; Heb. (John 1:1, 14, 18; John 20:28; Phil 2:6; Col. 2:9; Tit.  1:8; 1 John 5:20)

The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, Who convicts us of sin, righteousness and judgment; Who indwells the believer with the complete ability to lead, guide, and reveal God’s truth, empowering, and continuously sanctifying the true believer;  Who will change and resurrect our mortal bodies.  (John 14:16, 17, 26; John 15:26; John 16:12-15; Eph. 4:26; Isa. 63:10; John 16:9-11; Rom. 8:11; Phil 3:20-21)

The Trinity consist of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, constituting complete Oneness, and yet They are three distinct Persons with three distinct roles while co-existing together in Being, in essence or substance, and in nature.  (Gen. 1:1-2; Gen 11:6,7; Isa. 40:48; Job 33:4 Matt 28:19-20; John 1:1, 10:30; 2Cor. 13:14; Eph. 2:18)

All Scripture are verbally God inspired, and is the only true revelation of God to man, being the infallible, inerrant and authoritative Word of God .  (2Tim 3:15-17; 1Thess. 2:13; 2Pet. 1:20-21)

Man is created in God’s image and after His likeness, but also fell from grace as a result of his own disobedience towards God; therefore, as a result, all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.  (Gen 1:26-27; Gen. 2:17; Gen 3:6,7; Rom. 3:23-25; Rom. 5: 12-14)

Man, as a whole, is lost as a result of Adam’s transgression and therefore must be redeemed by the Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, Who would die for the sins of the world, bringing us into a complete and perfect salvation, and reconciling mankind back to God.  (Matt. 1:21; John 3:15-21; John 5:24; Luke 19:10; Rom. 10:9-13; 1Cor. 15:3-5; 2Cor. 5:17-21; Eph. 2:8-10; Tit. 2:11; 3:5-7)

The blood of Jesus is the only atonement for man’s sin, and while it covers and eradicates sin, it also provides a complete healing for man’s whole body.  (Acts 5:9-11; 2:38; Eph.1:7; Col. 1:13-14; 1John 1:7,9; Isa. 53:4,5; Matt. 8:16,17; Mark 16:18(d); Luke 10:9; John 14:12,13; Acts 5:12,15; James 5:14-16; 1Pet 2:24)

All believers are entitled to and should seek ardently to be filled with the Promise (not a promise) of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and with fire, according to the    commandment of Jesus Christ, which is subsequent to having received salvation; and the initial evidence of being filled with the Holy Ghost is the endowment of Power with speaking in other tongues, as He, the Spirit, gives the utterance.  (Matt. 3:11; 16; 17(c); Luke 24:49; Acts1:4,5,8; 2:4, 12,21; 8:14-18; 9:1-17; 1Cor. 13:1; Acts 10:44-48; 11:15-17; 19:1-7; 1Cor. 14:18; Jude 1:20)

Jesus birthed the Church as a result of both His legal and vital redemptive works through the Holy Ghost (His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension at the right-hand of the Father); as a result, the church is Christ’s body, a band of baptized believers in Him, Who is the Head; and the Church is commissioned to preach and teach the full Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.  (Rom. 3:24,25; Gal. 3:13-14; Eph. 1:22,23; 2:21,22 4:4; Heb. 12:23; Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15,16; Col. 1:18)

True Christianity reflects a godly lifestyle and a continual progression of sanctification in holiness. (Matt. 5:8; Rom. 12:1,2; Heb. 12:14; 13:12; Ro (Matt. 5:8; Rom.12:1,2; Heb.12:14; Rom.6:1-11; 13; 1Thess. 5:23; Rom. 8:1,2,13; 1Cor. 3:16-17; 1Cor. 6:9-20; Phil. 2:12,13; 1Pet. 1:5,15,16)

Marriage is holy, sacred and ordained of God between God’s created male and female only; all other sensual, illicit and perverted unions that are apart from God’s infallible Word, way, and will are ultimately sinful and abominable in the sight of God.  (Gen. 1:27, 31; Gen. 2:8,18-25; 3:10-24; 4:1,2,17,25; Gen. 19:1-24; Lev. 18:22-27; 20:13; Rom. 1:18,21-22,24,26-32)

Water baptism (immersion), a badge of discipleship, signifying a six-fold identification with Christ(Rom. 6:3-6; Eph. 2:5,6; Col. 2:12), is only applicable to repentant converts in Christ Jesus, who have declared to the world that they have died with Him and have been raised with Him, in the newness of life.

Communion (The Lord’s Supper) is a continual observation, signifying “The Lord’s death till He comes.” (1Cor. 11:23-32)

Singing, praising, worshiping, the playing of musical instruments, dancing in the Spirit to the glory of God, tithing, studying of the Word, and continuing of Christian fellowship are essential and vital in our growth in grace.  (2Chron. 5:12-14; Ps. 150:1-6; Eph. 5:19,20; Col. 3:16; Acts 16:25,26; Rev. 5:8-14; 14:2,3; 15:3,4; John 4:2; Matt. 11:15-17; 2Pet. 3:18;  2Tim. 2:15)

Christ’s return is imminent, personal and visible; He will rapture, remove, or catch away His true saints to be with Him forever; and judgment and eternal damnation will be rendered to all who will oppose Him and His righteous demand.   (1Thess. 4:16,17; Rom. 2:3; Rom. 8:11; Titus 2:13; 1Cor. 15:51,52; Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-4; Rev. 19:20;   20:11-15; 21:8)
